Os autores apresentam um programa de reabilitação para pacientes que se submeteram a sutura de lesões meniscais. Discutem o programa sob os aspectos da lesão ser isolada ou associada à lesão do ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA). Baseiam este trabalho na observação e acompanhamento de 32 pacientes reabilitados no Serviço de Fisioterapia do Grupo de Joelho do Hospital Ortopédico. O trabalho enfatiza a movimentação precoce da articulação e a marcha imediata com tutor de proteção, de acordo com a tolerância demonstrada pelo paciente.
ABSTRACT
The authors present a rehabilitation program for patients who were submitted to meniscus repair. They discuss the program and focus on the lesion to be either isolated or associated to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) lesion. This study is based on the observation and follow-up of 32 patients rehabilitated at the Physical Therapy Service of the Knee Group of the Orthopedics Hospital. The work emphasizes early movement of the joint and immediate deambulation with protective braces according to the tolerance demonstrated by the patients.
