RESUMO
O presente estudo objetivou verificar a atuação da Auriculoterapia na supressão da fissura pelo álcool e no alívio sintomático da síndrome de abstinência, bem como conferir índices de recidiva após 04 meses que subseqüentes ao tratamento. Foi realizado um estudo prospectivo, randomizado e duplo-cego em 126 pacientes atendidos na Clínica de Acupuntura na cidade de Francisco Beltrão-Pr, no período compreendido entre início de março e final de maio de 2008, sendo acompanhados por mais 04 meses a partir da primeira sessão. Os pacientes foram separados em Grupos Controle e Estudo de maneira alternada. O protocolo utilizado nos pacientes do Grupo Controle foi definido por regiões que não correspondem a nenhum ponto de acupuntura descrito pela MTC. O Grupo Estudo contou com a aplicação de laser (meio ativo: AlGaInP), seguido de um protocolo de pontos modificado. Após 03 dias os pacientes fizeram um relato sobre os efeitos do procedimento. Aqueles que obtiveram êxito no tratamento do Grupo Estudo continuaram sendo acompanhados mensalmente durante os 04 meses que se sucederam, a fim de se avaliar o percentual de recidivas. Durante esse período, foram submetidos a mais duas sessões de acupuntura auricular, nas quais foi seguido exatamente o mesmo protocolo, com um espaço temporal de 30 dias entre as mesmas.
Como resultado, houve redução na sintomatologia de fissura, bem como inibição dos sintomas da síndrome de abstinência em ambos os Grupos (Controle e Estudo), sendo que no Grupo Estudo a redução é significativamente maior. Dentre 42 pacientes que continuaram a ser acompanhados durante os 04 meses que se sucederam à sessão inicial, a recidiva foi registrada em 31% até o final deste período.

ABSTRACT:
This study aimed to verify the performance of Auriculoterapia the abolition of the crack and alcohol to relieve symptoms of withdrawal syndrome as well as giving rates of relapse after 04 months subsequent to that treatment. This was a prospective, randomized, double-blind in 126 patients at the Acupuncture Clinic in the city of Francisco Beltrão-Pr, in the period from early March and late May 2008 and were followed by a further 04 months from the first session. The patients were divided into groups Control and Study of alternating way. The protocol used in patients in the control group was defined by regions that do not correspond to any point of acupuncture described by the TCM.
